One extended cruise through Australia was terminated following the fatal incident of an senior lady who was left behind by the cruise liner on a distant island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with other travelers from the vessel, but broke off from the excursion for a rest. The vessel sailed away leaving her and went back after some time after the crew became aware the woman was not present.

A major rescue mission found her person the next day.

The CEO of the cruise operator announced that passengers and crew on the vessel were informed that the continuation of the voyage had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and prior engine troubles".
